Summer 2012

Updated!

Summer and I have a hate and more hate relationship. It's always too hot to dress up or go out. Which is why I don't have anything to update, ever. The moment summer rolls around, expect this blog to go on haitus.

So what is there to do when it's too hot to go out? I don't know about you, but I enjoy playing online computer games, mainly MMORPG. Right now, I am indulging in WoW aka World of Warcraft. For you none WoW players, there's a new expansion coming out this September called, Mist of Pandaria. In this expansion, we can finally become one with the Panda, as well as, a new class - the Monk!
Monks are masters of bare-handed combat, choosing to draw their weapons only for devastating finishing moves. Monk healers bring harmony and balance to every group, healing even the most grievous of injuries with ancient remedies and focused spiritual arts. And few can hope to out-last the unquenchable prowess of the Monk Brewmaster, whose empowering beverages and unpredictable combat style allow them to absorb incredible amounts of punishment.                                                  - More? The Panda race look like this:

Of course, new raids, talent specialization, etc.etc. content will be updated.

I have been playing WoW since the Burning Crusades; that my friend is a freaken long time. This is one the few games I always come back to because it is that awesome. This summer, I created an Orc Hunter on Skullcrusher server and I am raiding with my buddies in an exclusive French guild which is so awesome because I get to listen to the sexy accent of French players. Yum! Oh and HORDE FTW.

Check out the cinematics for MoP:

Pretty exciting, right? Can't wait!

Added screen shots of my new toon!

My quest requires me to kill this turtle. Here, my toon is posing with it before it dies.

This is Tortolla, the 'good' turtle I think that doesn't need to be slaughtered. His name just reminds me of Mexican food.

Okay, I think that is enough game rambling for now.

Here are some pictures of cute animals at Central Park Zoo that I went to visit last weekend!
Duck..duck...duck...GOOSE!

It took a long time to capture this one. It kept hopping around and around whenever I point the camera at it.
This baby goat was the Children Zoo or Petting Zoo at Central Park, NY. Out of all the goats there, it wasn't ramming its head into people's hand for food.
I think this is called the Apacha? I am probably wrong, but isn't he/she handsome?
Very limited picture of the snow leopard. The rest had its ass facing the camera.
Ended the trip with Dipping Dots. If you've never tried it, get on to it. It's like frozen cotton candy! Cool, sweet, and melts in your mouth.

I am not missing, blogger! Also a very necessary rant

I think it has been a while since I've updated a new post, it is just that there is nothing interesting to write about. Why would you want to remember a boring routine day?

Let's see...next week Tuesday (June 26) will be the last day for my summer course. Hooray! I absolutely hate that class.. Well no, I like biology or natural core sciences, it was so fast paced and it lacked so much detail. I can say I did learn a lot albeit, I did most of my own readings. Not to toot my own horn (?) or anything, I really do believe I can substantially retain enough information by learning or reading on my own. What was really painful was getting to class everyday. It takes approximately 10-15 minutes to reach the train station and then wait 5 minutes for train to come, and lastly sit for another 35-40 minutes. In total, it takes about 1 hour to get to class! Shit man, I got better things to do.

Plus, this week is freaken hot. The weather in Boston during summer time is usually around 70-80 degrees. Very sunny and breezy. In my perspective, that's the only good thing about Boston - its summer is very enjoyable. I will miss this when I return to New York.

Anyway, today is going to be 90 degrees. It doesn't sound so bad, right? Then consider this, how can we instantly adapt higher temperatures when we are use to medium temperature? I think it'll throw our body's equilibrium off balance and we will all get sick.  Okay, maybe I am exaggerating even though it is possible.

While today is 90 degrees, the past two days was horrible! It was ranging from 95-100 degrees. I had to commute to school during this blasted weather!

On other news, the next upcoming month is July and in my previous post, I wrote that I was going away with some friends to water rafting. Due to many complaints that it's too far to travel, we were forced to look for a closer location. Which is so retarded. Why would you spend so much to sleep at a place that is an hour away from your own home? Right? If it's an hour away from me, I'd rather save the money and fucken drive home to sleep.

The whole point is to celebrate my bf's birthday, have fun, and enjoy each other's company, but NO! Everyone complains and complains. How can we make everyone happy?

This is why I never enjoy hosting parties or gatherings, you simply cannot make anyone happy. I wish they would shut up and stop being so selfish. If you do not have the financial means, fine I will not force you to come. I am a reasonable person. I think it would be very helpful to help me find a better location to suit to everyone's need instead of complaining and expecting me to do something about it. ARGH! So annoying. I get all these bimbotic texts from everyone and I have to keep rolling my eyes. Eventually my eyeballs will fall out.

Honestly, I don't even know if this gathering will even occur at the rate it's going. I will be very disappointed... It is not everyday I get to hang out with my friends and rarely do I ever get the chance to have a sleep over.

My parents were very traditional. They'd say, "Why would you want to sleep in someone else's bed when you have your own?" When you think of it that way, it's true...and very logical. But what the heck lah, I just want to have fun. How does it feel to the be only person not allow to go to slumber party and be that one person who is always left out?

My camera hunting has progress as well. I do so much research that I can actually understand photo-terminology. Pretty good accomplishment if I do say so myself. I went from adoring the Canon s100, to obsessing over the Olympus Pen series...especially the E-PM1. I thought it was so cool that they have filters like apps on iPhones. But my infatuation for that camera ceased when I was informed that flip-out cameras exist. I can finally take out pictures of myself without guessing whether or not I am in the picture. There's so many functions that I love but my main priority was image quality. So now, my most recent find is the newest release from Sony, their Alpha series called  Nex F3. It has the flip-out 3.0 inch LCD screen, amazing image quality, high ISO, good grip...etc.etc.etc. While it doesn't have filters, I can live without it, I can always add it through photoshop. So it's not the end of the world for me.

Okay...I think that's all the rambling. Done!

Goodbye ~~

Summer Courses 2012

I can't believe I am doing this again!

I wish for one summer I can vacation or do whatever I want ~ everyone seems to be having so much fun, going away to Korea, or bumming at home. What's worst, my friends are all in New York while I am stuck in Massachusetts. Okay...I think that is enough self-pity for one day.

This summer I am taking BIO-101, which is kind of odd because I took BIO-102 two summers ago. This is all backward-ish. I have an estimate of 75 classmates in one gigantic class (duh) and what makes it so un-stimulating is it is ALL SO EASY!

You can't possibly complain about this class because it's an easy A. But behold, there are complaints. Let me list them:

  1. The guy who sits next to me has serious body odor (BO). People who do not use deodorant should not leave their house. I am serious, he smells so bad. To make it worst, when it rains it is like a wet dog sitting next to me or worst.
  2. So I moved my seat elsewhere to avoid the smell, the girl who sits next to me does not smell pleasant either. What is it people on not using deodorant?!
  3. There will always be some "dumb blonde" kind of people in my class who asks stupid questions, waste class time, and always call out. I witnessed this when I was in the elevator and three girls came in. In their nasally voice (I am so serious about this part!), they complained on and on about how they don't understand the material. It's biology...the study of living things.
  4. Class passes by slowly. Self explanatory.

I guess that's all that comes to mind right now.

I am waiting for my other activities to begin, but for now I waste time playing D3.

I am lvl 50+ WD now. I guess people who play will know what I'm talking about... WD is actually quite hard to play, I thought it'd be easy. Just stay back, summon some dogs and zombies to tank the crap out of everything while I shoot stuff from afar.

Good thing I am not playing alone or I'll be pulp by now.

That's it for today, I guess.
